EcoActionAI Future Pathways Workshop
Welcome to the resource hub for participants of the EcoActionAI Future Pathways Workshop, hosted by CSIRO and Digital Village. This workshop is a design-led collaboration to shape the future of a powerful new climate risk tool. Everything you need to prepare is below.
Overview: What to Expect
You’ve been invited because of your experience, expertise, or curiosity about sustainability, AI, reporting frameworks, or systems change.
Over two fast-paced sessions, we’ll explore how EcoActionAI—an experimental tool developed by CSIRO—could be evolved into a valuable asset for real-world users. Whether you’re from industry, government, tech, or research, your voice will shape how this tool serves climate resilience and disclosure in the years to come.
You’ll ideate with peers, apply empathy-driven design, consider commercial models, and help sketch viable implementation roadmaps. To prepare, please read this pack, log in to the tool, try the GPT assistant, and come ready to build something meaningful together.

How might we support stakeholders with company disclosure reporting?
  • 1 st time report preparers struggling to get started ...
  • Analysts assessing report quality ...
  • Investors evaluating opportunities across sectors... How might the CSIRO brand of ‘trustworthiness’ be delivered in company disclosure reporting?
  • Provision of data and analytics
  • Guidance and decision support
  • Provide equity of knowledge access vs pay-for-advice models of service

Technology Overview
EcoActionAI is in its infancy with a 1st time report preparer in mind. Our main interest is in how we might encourage a report preparer’s early steps, improve accessibility of information, and go beyond compliance by promoting a business-relevant climate response. There are three features in this early-stage prototype evaluation:
  1. Explore the regulations, options, available evidence and estimated costs related to risk identification and response through a customised chat interface
  1. Discover past company reports regarding the risks and actions reported across main industry types
  1. Develop content for TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures) company reports using an AI writing assistant
Key Features
Discover
Analyze risks, actions, and industry patterns
Chat
Ask TCFD-aligned questions
Write
Draft disclosure content from inputs
Built With:
  • Claude 3.6 Sonnet
  • RAG system architecture
  • Industry-standard TCFD pillars
  • Categorization by risk, action, and industry
📌 Note: The tool is a functional proof-of-concept, not a final product.
